2-123. STEP REPLACEMENT
This task covers: Removal, Cleaning, Inspection, and Installation

REMOVAL
1.
Remove container bracket (1) from step plate (2)
by removing screws (3), washers (4), and nuts
(5).
2.
Remove step plate (2) from step frame by
removing screws (6), washers (7), and nuts (8).
3.
Release step plate (2) from step guard (9) by
removing screw (10), washer (11), and nut (12).
WARNING
Step plate (2) is heavy and awkward. Enlist the help
of an assistant when removing to prevent injury to
personnel and damage to components.
4.
Lift step plate (2) up and off step frame.
5.
Remove step guard (9) by removing screws (13)
and washers (14).
6.
Remove step guard plate (15) by removing
screws (16), washers (17), and nuts (18).
