Remove rod (42) and piston assembly from barrel
Place rod (42) and piston assembly on suitable
supports to prevent damage.
Remove two wear rings (46).
Do not nick or scratch seal groove on piston (49) during
removal of seal (47). Failure to follow this precaution will cause
Cut seal (47) and discard.
The nut (48) may need to be heated with a torch for removal.
Remove nut (48) and piston (49). Discard nut
Remove and discard O-ring (50) from piston (49)
Remove tube (51) and gland (43) off rod (42).
Remove O-rings (45 and 52) and backup ring (53)
from gland (43). Discard O-rings (45 and 52).
Do not nick or scratch seal groove inside gland (43) during
removal of seal (54) and rod wiper (55). Failure to follow this
precaution will cause part damage.
Note direction that lip of seal (54) is facing before removal.
Remove seal (54) and rod wiper (55) from inside of
