DISASSEMBLY
WARNING
Hydraulic oil, under pressure, can remain within cylinder after disconnecting hydraulic hoses. To avoid
severe personal injury, slowly loosen counterbalance valve and allow pressure to escape before removing
valve entirely.
NOTE
Use a vise with soft jaws to secure cylinder in a horizontal position for disassembly.

Remove two counterbalance valves (27 and 28).

valves for use during assembly. The valves

are not interchangeable.
2.
Remove back-up rings (29 and 30), two back-up rings
(31) and three O-rings (32 thru 34) from each counter-
balance valve (27). Discard back-up rings and O-rings.
3.
Remove three back-up rings (35 thru 37) and three O-
40
rings (38 thru 40) from counterbalance valve (28).
Discard back-up rings and O-rings.
