INSTALLATION
1.
Push in TDC pin (22) to verify cylinder no. 1 is at
TDC. If necessary, turn engine crankshaft until TDC
pin can be pushed in fully.

Place new gasket (29) on pump mounting studs.

New and reconditioned fuel injection

pumps come with driveshafts locked at an
angle which aligns shaft key with keyway
in drive gear. Screw is tightened against
shaft to lock shaft. Do not loosen screw
until instructed to do so below.
3.
Position fuel injection pump (19) on mounting studs,

using care to prevent key (30) from dropping into tim-
ing gear housing while aligning key (30) with keyway
in gear.
