SERVICE BRAKE SYSTEM HOSES, LINES, AND FITTINGS - REPLACE/REPAIR (Cont’d) CAUTION Wipe the area clean around all hydraulic connections to be opened during removal and  disassembly. Cap oil lines and plug holes after removing lines. Contamination of the hydraulic system could result in premature failure. If more than one hydraulic line is to be removed, identify lines to assure proper installation. Use suitable container to catch any hydraulic oil that may drain from  system. Removal and installation procedures for front and rear brake system hoses, lines, and fittings are similar. 1. REMOVE ELBOW FITTINGS (1), TEE FITTINGS (2) AND HOSES (3) AS REQUIRED . Note routing of hoses (3) on vehicle for use during installation. a. Disconnect hose (3) from elbow (1) on service brake caliper (4). b. Loosen and remove elbow (1) from service brake caliper (4). c. Loosen and remove hoses (3) from tee (2). FRONT BRAKE CONNECTIONS SHOWN -   REAR BRAKE SYSTEM CONNECTIONS ARE IDENTICAL. 12-30
