Replace damaged pistons in transmission control valve (see paragraph 5-9). Step 3.   Inspect transmission control valve for sticking forward or reverse check valve. Replace damaged transmission control valve (see paragraph 5-9). 13.  TRANSMISSION HYDRAULIC SYSTEM OVERHEATS. Step 1.   Perform transmission fluid pressure test (see STE/ICE Test No.  G011). Step 2.   Perform converter-out pressure test (see paragraph 4-30). Step 3.   Perform transmission pump flow test (see paragraph 4-36). Repair damaged transmission gear pump (see paragraph 5-11). Step 4.   Inspect transmission clutch discs and clutch plates for warpage. Replace damaged transmission clutch discs and clutch plates (see paragraph 5-12). 3-9
