Clearance   should   be   0.003-0.009   in.      (0.076- 0.229 mm). If clearance is not within specification, replace thrust plate. 7. Using arbor press, remove camshaft gear (6) from camshaft (7). 8. Remove woodruff key (8) from camshaft (7). TA708158 b.          CLEANING AND INSPECTION I WARNING Dry cleaning solvent, P-D-680, is toxicand flammable.  Always wear protective goggles and gloves, and  use  only  in  a  well-ventilated  area.    Avoid  contact  with  skin,  eyes,  and  clothes,  and  DO  NOT breathe  vapors.    DO  NOT  use  near  open  flame  or  excessive  heat.    The  solvent’s  flash  point  is 1000F-138°F (380C-590C).  If you become dizzy while using cleaning solvent, immediately get fresh air and medical help. If solvent contacts eyes, immediately wash your eyes and get medical aid. 1. Clean parts with dry cleaning solvent and dry thoroughly with clean rags. 2. Inspect all parts for cracks, bends, and breaks.  Replace damaged parts. 5-48
