The steer axle assembly (Figure 2), is attached to the

slightly to remove stress from axle mounting
housings and to support axle during removal.
4. Remove drag link from pivot arm.

5. Remove capscrews and locknuts securing axle
mounting housings to truck frame.
5. Lower jack and pull steer axle assembly from
under the truck.
