INSTALLATION
8.
Using a 1/2” open end wrench,
install nipple (7) and tee (6) on
vehicles S/N 2000 and below install
tee (5) on vehicles S/N 2001 and
above.
9.
Install sensor (4).
10.
Connect wire
a s s e m b l y ( 3 ) at
terminal.
11.
Using a 3/8” open end wrench,
install lock washer (2) and nut (1).
TESTING
Before proceeding with electrical
t e s t , refer to Chapter
2
for
i n i t i al
setup
i n s t r u c t i o n s.
Failure to follow this procedure
could
r e s u l t in
damage to
equipment.

Disconnect wire assembly (3).
Test resistance of sensor (4).
Connect red lead on multimeter to
terminal and black lead to
engine
b l o c k.
Observe needle movement. Multimeter
should indicate one ohm or less.
Start engine.
Observe needle movement.
With
engine idling,
multimeter
should
indicate 13.5 ohms or more.
