Four cap screws(1) Remove frame and lock washers (2) b. Two retainers (3) Remove CAUTION Use chain hoist to support weight of carriage assembly (11) to prevent damaging carriage travel bar (4). WARNING Carriage travel bar weighs 134 pounds, be careful not to injure yourself by travel bar falling on your feet or striking your legs. c. Carriage travel Remove Use 2 inches diameter bar and hammer to bar (4) drive  from  side  shifter d. Carriage assem- Remove Use chain hoist bly (11) DISASSEMBLY 2 Carriage  assem- Cap  screw  (5)  and Remove bly, center nut (6) 3 Carriage  assem- a. Fork travel bar Position  and Use 1-1/2 inches diameter bar and hammer bly,  sides (7) and remove to drive bar from carriage b.  Lubrication  fitting  (8) Remove NOTE Don’t remove snap rings (9) or bushings (10) unless inspection in- dicates replacement is necessary. c. Two snap rings (9) Remove d.  Two  bushings  (10) Remove CLEANING WARNING Dry cleaning solvent (P-D-680), used to clean parts is toxic and flammable. Wear protective goggles and gloves and use only in a well ventilated area. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothes and don’t breathe vapors. Do not use near open flame or exces- sive heat and don’t smoke when using it. Failure to do so could cause serious injury. If you become dizzy while using cleaning solvent, get fresh air immediately, and get medical attention. If contact with skin or clothes is made, flush with large amounts of water. If contact with eyes is made, wash eyes with water immedi- ately,  and  obtain  medical  aid  immediately. 3-249
