Housing (43) Reposition  and Clamp O-ring fitting in vise so that input clamp shaft (27) faces upward b. Upper cover (14) Match mark Use center punch and hammer and housing (43) c. Four cap screws (13) Loosen  and Use 5/16 inch 12 point socket remove CAUTION Do not use excessive force to remove spool (30) from housing (43). Avoid applying side forces to input shaft (27) which would cause binding of spool (30). d. Upper cover (14), Remove  from Grasp input shaft (27) and, with a smooth input shaft (27) housing (43) upward  motion,  remove  as  an  assembly and,  spool  (30) e. O-ring (15) Remove and discard 6 Upper a. Input shaft (27) Remove cover (14) b. Shims (17) Remove  from Retain  shims  for  use  at  reassembly cover (14) or face of thrust washer (22) c.
