Slip ring end frame Position On open jaws of vise, so jaws support area (2) around bearings NOTE Remove bearing (22) if worn, cracked, pitted or damaged, or if grease supply is exhausted. t. Bearing (22) Remove  and Use valve guide installer tool and press out discard of end frame (2) 3 Drive  end frame (1) CAUTION Do not overtighten vise. Over tightening may distort and damage rotor. a. Rotor (23) Mount Use vise b. Shaft nut (24) Remove c. Lock washer (25) Remove  and discard d.  Shaft  collar  (26) Remove e. Drive end frame (1) Remove From rotor (23) f. Three screws (27) Remove g. Ball bearing retainer Remove plate (28) h. Bearing housing on Back up Use front cover seal installer tool drive end frame (1) i. Ball bearing (29) Remove Use valve guide installer tool and press bear- ing out of end frame (1) j. Grease slinger Remove  and washer (30) discard CLEANING CAUTION Do not clean stator or rotor with cleaning solvent. 4 Stator (4) and rotor Clean Wipe  with  clean,  soft,  absorbent,  lintfree (23) cloth 3-96
