Two nuts (l), four cap Remove ment,  upper screws (2 and 3), lock left or right side washers (4), and washers  (5) b. Hood panel (6 or 7) Remove NOTE If top hood is not removed (para 2-53d) you must remove six cap screws, washers and lock washers. 2 Engine  compart- a. Three nuts (8), lock Remove ment, left or washers (9), washers right  side (10), and cap screws (11) b. Two cap screws (12), Remove Disconnect ground cable and remove lock washers (13), ground cable washer if left hood support and  washers  (14) plate  (15)  is  being  removed c.  Hood  support  plate Remove (15 or 16) CLEANING WARNING Dry cleaning solvent (P-D-680), used to clean parts is toxic and flammable. Wear protective goggles and gloves and use only in a well ventilated area. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothes and don’t breathe vapors. Do not use near open flame or exces- sive heat and don’t smoke when using it. Failure to do so could cause serious injury. If you become dizzy while using cleaning solvent,  get  fresh  air  immediately,  and  get  medical  attention.  If contact with skin or clothes is made, flush with large amounts of water. If contact with eyes is made, wash eyes with water immed- iately,  and  obtain  medical  aid  immediately. 3 All parts Clean Use cleaning solvent P-D-680, Dry thoroughly.
