clutch friction discs. Disc hub must be
in full position with friction discs. Don't
force this operation; see illustration
below

Place new gasket on front of transmission
b. Gasket (54)
housing; apply a thin coat of chassis
grease to hold gasket in place
Spread ears
Use spreading type snap ring pliers to
c. Retaining ring (52)
spread ears. Lock pliers open to hold
retaining ring open
CAUTION
When performing following step, take care not to damage reverse
clutch front piston ring.
Install a stud in any one mounting hole in
d. Converter housing(51) Position
transmission housing to aid in installing
converter housing. Then using a chain
hoist, position converter housing on
transmission and tap converter housing
in place as shown below
