PULL PARKING BRAKE LEVER TO REAR TO SET PARKING BRAKE.

PLACE TRANSMISSION SHIFT LEVER IN "N" (NEUTRAL) POSITION.
IF ENGINE IS COLD PULL CHOKE LEVER ALL THE WAY OUT.

DEPRESS ACCELERATOR APPROXIMATELY ONE-THIRD OF THE WAY.
5.
TURN IGNITION SWITCH TO RIGHT TO "ON" POSITION.
DEPRESS STARTER BUTTON TO CRANK ENGINE. RELEASE BUTTON WHEN ENGINE STARTS.
6.
CAUTION. DO NOT OPERATE STARTER CONTINUOUSLY FOR LONGER THAN 30 SECONDS. IF ENGINE FAILS
TO START AFTER 30 SECONDS. ALLOW STARTER TO COOL OFF FOR TWO MINUTES BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO
START ENGINE AGAIN.
7.
HOLD ACCELERATOR STEADY AND ALLOW ENGINE TO WARM UP AT FAST IDLING SPEED.
8.
CHECK OIL PRESSURE GAGE AND AMMETER FOR NORMAL READINGS. AS ENGINE WARMS UP, PUSH IN ON
CHOKE LEVER. WHEN ENGINE IS WARM, PUSH LEVER ALL THE WAY IN.
WITH ENGINE AT OPERATING TEMPERATURE, CHECK FOR PROPER READINGS ON AMMETER, OIL PRESSURE
9.
GAGE, AND COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAGE. CHECK FUEL GAGE AND HOURMETER FOR PROPER
OPERATION.
10.
REPORT ANY MALFUNCTIONS TO PROPER AUTHORITY.
