TROUBLESHOOTING
CAUSE
REMEDY
Engine Stops Running
1. Out of fuel
1. Fill fuel tank.
2. Low grade of fuel
2. Change to a better grade of fuel.
3. Clogged fuel filter or fuel pump defective
3. Service fuel filter more often. Check fuel in tank. If
dirty, drain and clean tank. Refill with clean fuel. Refer to
FUEL PUMP Troubleshooting Guide.
4. Rich or lean air-fuel mixture, defective

5. Filler cap vent plugged
5. Clean the vent in the filler cap.
Surging At Governed Speed
1. Rich air-fuel mixture, defective carburetor
