4-71. Transmission Linkage and Levers
a. General. Check all linkage between operator's
controls and transmission frequently. Remove
console panel cover (fig. 4-36) and inspect the
linkage for proper lubrication, cleanliness, wear,
damage and freedom of operation.
(1) Range selector linkage (low, med., high).
Make sure operator's control (fig. 2-1) is positioned
t o correspond exactly with the detent positions of
range selector valve. If out of adjustment, report to
direct support maintenance.
(2) Forward and reverse linkage. Make sure
operator's  controls  (fig.  2-1)  correspond  exactly
w i t h valve selector detents. If out of adjustment,
report to direct support maintenance.
b . Removal. Refer to figure 4-39 and remove the
t r a n s m i s s i o n  linkage  and  levers.
c. Installation. Refer to figure 4-39 and install
t h e transmission linkage and levers.
